Speakeasy SMaSH #9:
6.3% alc. by vol. 82 IBU 5 SRM
Another new SMaSH from our Speakeasy series. Exceptional quality and character with just a few ingredients. Hops are Ekuanot from the NW. A delicious and juicy hop with notes of melon, lime, papaya and more. For the grain we took one of our personal favorites, Pacific NW Pale Barley, grown and malted here in the Pacific NW. Yeast came from Imperial down in Portland and is full of flavor. Juicy and hazy. Get it while you can.
5.8% alc. by vol. 40 IBU 33 SRM
One of the very first beers that we brewed here at Cascadia Brewing Co, this is a full flavored Oak Smoked Wheat Porter. As dark as midnight with a rich and dark frothy head. Oak Smoked Wheat was used in the mash to provide a more complex and less harsh smokiness. Subtle notes of toffee and vanilla. This all comes together to make a smoked beer that you can have multiple of.

A very special IPA. We used 20% malted MILLET for this IPA, sorry this is not gluten free but it does have less gluten than most craft ales. Lots of hops, late additions and dry hopping was used to create an aromatic IPA that lets you know that there are plenty of hops in there but still drinkable. There definitely is a NW IPA hop kick but we have balanced the ale with a interesting malt backbone. Unfiltered and hazy to created a real fruity and juicy character. Try something new, try out our MILLET IPA!
Wheat's My Cherry Pie:
4.2% alc. by vol. 5.5 IBU 30 SRM
Just in time for the summer weather. This sessionable wheat ale is exactly what you need to fight the heat. Effervescent and refreshing. We added loads of tart pie cherries to the wheat beer in the secondary. Expect lots of cherry flavor and a slight sour character. Not like a full on sour beer but just the right amount of tartness. Nice and hazy with a pink hue to both the beer and the foam. Limited supply available.

Some of you may know this style as a California Common, first made famous by Anchor Brewing in San Franscisco. We took this style and threw a NW twist on it. Sessionable and yet still full of flavor. Crystal clear with a creamy head and highly effervescent. Starts off slightly sweet then the classic NW bitter bite follows. Coming in at 40 IBU expect some bite but not overwhelming. A excellent beer for the time of the year where the sun is coming in and out from behind the clouds.
Turkish Coffee Stout (Nitro):
5.4% alc. by vol. 49 IBU 36 SRM
A variation on the classic Nitro Coffee Stout. We added freshly ground cardamom to the beer for a vibrant and floral character reminiscent of Turkish Coffee. The stout starts with a lovely aroma from the cardamom that fills the senses but does not linger. Quickly the roastiness and coffee comes through balanced with the creaminess from the Nitro gas. The coffee was sourced form Olympia Coffee Roasting. Surpisingly the cardamom is strongly present in the initial offering but does not overpower the overall character of the beer. Enjoy.
English Bitter #7
5.1% alc. by vol. 37 IBU 13 SRM
A classic English Bitter. Balanced with a biscuity malty backbone. Subtly fruitiness and floral character. Classic English hops, yeast and grain. A all around and balanced ale.
Green Tea Saison
5.3% alc. by vol. 33 IBU 4 SRM
A delicious summertime saison made with organic green tea. Light refreshing and with just a kick of caffeine to get you going. Like many saisons this ale is very lightly colored and hazy with a frothy white head. Aroma consists of fruity esters and and tea while the body is a little spicy with phenols and the sharp bite of tannin from the green tea. Perfect for this time of the year.
Red Cap Cider:
